A thought a day…

I’m staging a rebellion against bedn today and moving off topic. It’s allowed, it’s in the rules. Honest.  Each day for the past seven days I’ve written down a thought a day. Just one, with no context. So I thought I’d share them as today’s post.  Monday Reading, writing, drawing, pizza and Grey’s.  Tuesday  Disheartened, but noodles and Matt Damon. Wednesday  Straight to bed with a short stint as a bodyguard. Thursday  Exciting times ahead?! Friday Yeah, let’s go to the pub. I’m only staying for one though.  Saturday  Ouch, my head hurts. And so does my heart.  Sunday  ‘You … Continue reading A thought a day…

World Kindness Day… or was it?

So, I didn’t write this post yesterday. Instead I got up and walked to work, grateful to arrive before the heavens opened. I actually like my job and I love the people I work with. After work, we went to the pub. I was only supposed to stay for one or two, but I’m so easily led and I was having such a nice time that I stayed for longer than I should. Then I walked home, bought food on the way and then crawled into my bed and fell asleep. It was a standard Friday. But waking up to … Continue reading World Kindness Day… or was it?

My local area

So, I live in Bristol. I imagine most of you are aware of that, being that most of you are my friends and family… And you’ll also know that I currently reside in the affluent Clifton area. Now, I’m certainly not affluent, but for those who don’t know Clifton, I am surrounded by mansions. Let’s not get too excited, most of them house young professionals in flat shares (I’m still young, right??), some are home to the 8000 students who are lucky enough to live in this area (in flat shares, too), but some of them, not many, are still … Continue reading My local area

My Christmas list…

Okay, so I’ve got a bit behind on the whole #BEDN thing, but I’m not letting a few missed days stop me! So here I am contributing to today’s topic: lists. I decided since it’s near Christmas, I’d share with you my list to Santa. Don’t panic, Santa (Mum!) this is my ‘if money was no object or money just can’t buy’ Christmas list! 1. An apartment in New York. Manhattan, preferably.  2. Free flights to and from New York whenever I want. You know, so I can live my transatlantic lifestyle with ease.  3. It’d be handy to have … Continue reading My Christmas list…

Food, glorious food

Here I am again, on my iPad. Thanks Acer for your update… Why not add the ability to ‘skip till a more convenient time’ option in your next one. Anyway, on to the more important stuff. Blog every day in November has asked for ‘Food Glorious Food’ for day three. Food is probably one of my favourite things; its up there with sleeping, they are tied for top spot I reckon. As some of you may know, and I think I mentioned this in my day one post, but I haven’t eaten meat for nearly 10 years. I eat fish, … Continue reading Food, glorious food

Love Mondays…

I can’t believe I’m writing this on my iPad. Stupid laptop decided to do an update and it’s taking forever. I didn’t want to fall behind on #BEDN so, iPad it is… The topic for day two #BEDN is ‘Love Mondays’. Well, I’m not sure that I do… So I thought I’d share a little about my day, instead of trying to fall in love with Monday! Today I decided to wear my green knitted Primark dress, it’s a size 20 and cost me £1. I do love a bargain and before you ask, no, I’m not a size 20; … Continue reading Love Mondays…

What’s (not so) new about me…

Blog every day in November (BEDN)… I didn’t do so well at this when it ran in May. I think I managed to do two posts… I’m not promising I’ll do better this time round, especially considering that I am also attempting NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month, where a participant is challenged to write an entire 50,000 word novel in the month of November) so it’s looking like I’ll be spending a lot of time on my laptop this month. So, today’s BEDN topic is ‘New About Yourself’. Which is interesting, cause I don’t think there is anything new about … Continue reading What’s (not so) new about me…
