Well, hello. It certainly seems like it’s been a hot minute since I was round these parts. For the best part of a year I’ve been silent over here. Strangely coincides with the arrival of a new website I started … Continue reading For the love of writing
Alcohol is the one drug that is so ingrained in our society that you have to justify yourself if you choose not to consume it. It’s highly addictive and can be just as dangerous as drugs that are actually illegal. … Continue reading Can I get you a drink?
This is a long one. Grab a cuppa and get comfy. I don’t know about you, but I feel overwhelmed. We’re on the final call for climate change. Make changes now or our children’s generation will suffer. Stop using single … Continue reading The final call…
I’ve been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. Both my parents read so I guess it was only natural that I grew to love books too (although, I’m not really sure what happened to my brother … Continue reading Falling in love with a literary character
I’m just a beginner, but here are some of my photography attempts. What do you think? Continue reading Photography
Here I am again, on my iPad. Thanks Acer for your update… Why not add the ability to ‘skip till a more convenient time’ option in your next one. Anyway, on to the more important stuff. Blog every day in November has asked for ‘Food Glorious Food’ for day three. Food is probably one of my favourite things; its up there with sleeping, they are tied for top spot I reckon. As some of you may know, and I think I mentioned this in my day one post, but I haven’t eaten meat for nearly 10 years. I eat fish, … Continue reading Food, glorious food
I can’t believe I’m writing this on my iPad. Stupid laptop decided to do an update and it’s taking forever. I didn’t want to fall behind on #BEDN so, iPad it is… The topic for day two #BEDN is ‘Love Mondays’. Well, I’m not sure that I do… So I thought I’d share a little about my day, instead of trying to fall in love with Monday! Today I decided to wear my green knitted Primark dress, it’s a size 20 and cost me £1. I do love a bargain and before you ask, no, I’m not a size 20; … Continue reading Love Mondays…
Yep, that’s right. I have managed to get to the grand old age of 30 without ever having camped at a weekend festival. I did go to T in the Park when I was a teenager, but only for the day. In fact, when I say ‘without ever having camped at a weekend festival’ I could actually shorten that to ‘without ever having camped’. Yep, even worse, I know. I have no memory of ever sleeping in a tent. Up until now, that is. This weekend I went to Fieldview Festival in Chippenham. The festival itself was founded by the … Continue reading The 30 year old festival virgin
So, half marathon training has begun! You may have noticed if you follow my Instagram (I’m sure there is a link below somewhere…) that I’ve signed up to run the Cardiff Half Marathon in October. My plan is to hopefully raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research (I’ll be setting up a Just Giving page in due course). My best friend’s Mum was recently diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma AND nodal marginal zone lymphoma, because she has both, there hasn’t been much research into how to treat it. Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research work tirelessly to stop people dying from … Continue reading My week in training…
